My Characters
Last updated:
01/11/2025 - wake up babe, my character section has been redone! old one can be found
here.
I have 12 characters in LM. Well, actually it's 13 but the dreaded 13th member of the organization will not make an appearance because she's literally me and I'm not done tweaking her.
Here's 9 of my characters and their short descriptions (and emojis I'll use to refer to them in the future in my OOTD's...). The other 3 missing chars are the girl characters I didn't get to use much yet.
Further sperging
Since last year, Life Makeover introduced some new updates to the character customization system. The most standout update was the skin texture update, which now allows you to choose whether you want the previous less realistic texture vs the new more realistic one. I love the texture update a lot, it adds redness to the face and body, and all around helps my characters look less like they're made out of playdough. All of my characters received the skin texture update treatment when it dropped, along with decreased eye size for most of them to make them look just slightly more realistic.
Another update was face reshape 3.0 which added extra parameters to some facial features, like facial length (f i n a l l y!), and some more eye customization. This one is really recent so I just got around to making a few of my characters faces longer, and not very noticably so lmao.
Biggest change I did to my characters this year was shortening their torsos. As a long torsoed woman, I like making characters with longer torsos but I had to deal with the fact that a torso that's too long creates weird issues with clothing in this game. Especially if it's a shirt + bottom combo, things start to look off. I blame their persistence in creating crop tops all the time.
I have also done some cleanup, and I removed my barely used characters. I said my goodbyes and replaced them with something else. Namely the 3 girl characters in the bottom row that you can see here. None of them are original creations besides the third one, and I haven't gotten around to tweaking them to perfection yet. I find the girl model to be totally off body wise, but sometimes I want a cuter looking character for whatever childish clothing we get, so these bulldog faces monsters will serve that purpose.
Going off the picture above, 1 is my main character still. Just yesterday I lengthened her face slightly and lowered her eyes, so that her forehead hopefully appears a bit larger.
2 pretty much stayed the same, besides the torso length change.
3 is a new version of 9. Same nose and face shape, different eyes and lips. And I made her face a bit longer. I think she'll satisfy a different niche from 9 lmao.
Besides skin texture additions, 4 and 5 remain unchanged.
6 is a new character not made by me, it's made by an extremely popular and talented russian player called seeker au, her characters all look recognizeable yet slightly different from each other. I've been using this character often now because I love her so much!!
7 is a newer character that I made shortly after my update last year. I made her fully from scratch. She has a very particular look that fills a niche I needed lmao. -
8 and 9 remain unchanged, besides the aforementioned changes I applied to all of my chars.
10, 11 and 12 are all of the girl characters. I wanted a pretty, cute and mean looking one and these three fulfill those roles lmao. They will be receiving tweaks in the future...
And here's the classic height comparison. Compared to how tall you can make your LM characters, all of mine are actually weirdly short. You don't notice it when you just see your character on screen, but whenever I enter someone's house during an event my characters look tiny and I hate it lmao. However, I try to keep the sizing consistent between all of my characters. Ideally, the fifth one in this picture should be the tallest one so I have to keep that in mind next time I tweak her...
Also I'm not sure the height of the girl characters is accurate compared to the adult characters' heights. All I did when taking pictures of them was zoom out the same amount I did for the adult characters, but maybe the ingame editor changes depending on the character model (woman vs girl).
