Saw your Takopi review and it's great!! I'm so tired of ppl glazing it when the writing is such a mess. I guess is one of those "Average anime watcher is like 16-18 and I'm a hag" discrepancies, but I feel like the bar should be a little higher. I read the manga and I really enjoyed the idea of Takopi's time-looping over and over trying and failing to prevent the girl's suicide. I was like "Yes it's never just one moment that causes someone's suffering." I genuinely thought it was going to be about Takopi learning the nuance of human psychology and suffering to try and save a hopeless girl, but my hopes were dashed the minute the blonde girl died.

Specifically because MC didn't kill the blondie. Like if she's gonna become fucked up at least let HER actually do the hard part. I just couldn't take everything after seriously and dropped it after. I agree the cruelty is almost comically senseless too. It'd make more sense if she fucked over the town or bought a bad omen or something but they're just negligent/cruel for the love of the game.

I read the author's other work "The Ichinose Family's Deadly Sins" beforehand and it also started out interesting enough, but also quickly lost all momentum. I thought Takopi would be diff considering all the praise but nope!
